Ah... a very interesting question, and one that is being asked frequently these days since we are now into the year 2004, which according to our new licensure law is the year we begin attesting to our accumulation of 36 CEUs (6 of which are to be in ethics & law) in the previous two years. Actually, we have had considerably longer than two years just this once, due to the licensure law implementation start-up process.
But, the Dept of Health Counselor Programs people have informed us that those clinicians whose birthdays fall between January and June 20th ("or so") will be reporting their CEUs on their renewal date (birthday) in 2005, and those whose birthday falls between June 20th (or so) and December 31st will be reporting their CEUs in 2004.
The "or so" lack of specificity is due to a question about the accuracy of the system (sounds suspiciously like a computer thing to me...).
